"I have known Heather for 35 years as we began our careers in the healthcare field together. I have always known what a wonderful caretaker Heather is and how much people loved Brees Rest Home. When I was struggling with nursing home placement for my mother-in-law in Des Moines, Heather said "Bring her to Brees Rest Home and I will take care of her." I wrestled with how to make it work being over an hour away. How would it work with all the running back and forth? What I didn't realize is that Heather would take care of everything and I would finally get to just be a visitor. She takes care of Diane so wonderfully that I never have to worry about anything. Diane went from being in hospice and needing full-time care to being a vibrant and active member of her community. Diane loves living at Brees Rest Home and it gives her the independence to still do things for herself while having 24 hour care. Several members of our family just visited with her and all said that moving her to Brees Rest Home was the best decision we ever made. What seemed like a challenge when further care was needed for our loved one turned out to be a huge blessing! We are all so grateful and I love having Diane in Albia where I grew up and where so many of my memories were made. The staff are all so caring and we love our trips down to Albia to see Diane living her best life at Brees Rest Home."
